Alexandra Wiwcharuk: The Girl in Saskatoon

On Friday, May 18, 1962, 23-year-old Alexandra Wiwcharuk disappeared. Her body was discovered 13 days later in a shallow grave on the riverbank of the South Saskatchewan river. She had been beaten, sexually assaulted, and buried alive. 60 years later, her murder remains unsolved.

After 13 years on the air, The Dating Game had their most controversial contestant ever – Rodney Alcala. A contestant who was later convicted of sex crimes as well as murder.

While they concluded that the acid/methods used in Breaking Bad did not quite get the job done, murderer John Haigh did use a method that worked. We know him as the Acid Bath Murderer.

Issei Sagawa, A Cannibal Set Free

Have you ever packed your luggage so full that someone jokingly asks, “You got a body in there?” It’s a joke, or at least it’s supposed to be. After Issei Sagawa killed and ate his classmate, Renée Hartevelt, he loaded her remains into a suitcase, caught a taxi, and drove off to dispose of her body. Funny thing – the taxi driver asked if he had a body in there before driving him to a nearby park.

Randy Stair, the Danny Phantom Killer

Randy Stair was a troubled man who found himself obsessed and identifying with Ember McLain, from the Nickelodeon show, Danny Phantom. Ember was an unpopular high school with dreams of becoming a rock star. Stair also had his difficulties in high school, and was working toward his own YouTube career when he entered the grocery store where he worked and killed three coworkers and himself.
