This Is Lisa, a Girl’s Imaginary Friend

Imaginary Friends are a psychological and social phenomenon where a friendship takes place in the imagination rather in physical reality. To the person, usually a child, the friend is real, and they often get frustrated when others can’t see their friend. Often, as they grow older, children lose their imaginary friends, whether that friend leaves, or is simply forgotten over time, we may never know. For one little girl, she shared her imaginary friend with the world when she first wrote, “This is Lisa.”

The Anguished Man

Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Is it possible that art can take on another role? A supernatural role? That may just be the case when it comes to the painting, The Anguished Man.

Wendigo

Imagine this: It’s winter, you, your brother and sister, and some friends are staying in an awesome lodge in the mountains, something you do every year. Everything is great, until a few of your friends decide to play a nasty prank on you. Instead of being the butt of their joke, you take off, only your sister pursuing you – that is until something else appears. It’s large, monstrous, and spewing fire. You both run until you’re cornered on a cliff, but you both slip and fall. Your sister dies instantly, but you’re still alive. Your body is broken, you can’t move, but you’re still alive. The creature that was chasing you has disappeared, and no one can hear your screams.

One year later, your brother and friends return to the cabin. You’re not the same person. You’re hungry, and you can’t control your insatiable appetite. You’ve become the same as the creature that chased you over the cliff. You are a wendigo.

The Winchester Mystery House

At first glance, the Winchester Mansion just looks like any other architectural wonder, combining both Victorian and Queen Anne architectural styles. In its time, the mansion was a modern marvel, with indoor plumbing, central heating, and multiple elevators. The mansion spans 24,000 square feet of living space, on 6 acres of land, and if that wasn’t impressive enough, it boasts 161 rooms (one previously unknown room was just discovered in the attic of the house. In it contained a pump organ, a dress form, a sewing machine, a Victorian sofa, and several paintings), 40 bedrooms, 47 staircases, 10,000 windows, 2 basements and 2,000 doors.

Games: The Dry Bones Ritual

Are you ready to play hide and seek with a demon? If you survive, you win a prize. The prize can be anything you wish for. But be careful; it’s possible that whatever you’re summoning here might decide that playing the game isn’t a fair enough bargain for what you’re asking for. If you lose, the demon gets to do whatever it wants with you, and I assure you, it won’t be pleasant. As with any game where you are contacting demons, The Dry Bones Ritual is very dangerous. Be aware that you are messing with things you do not understand and could end up losing your mind, being killed, or worse – losing your soul. Play at your own risk – you have been warned.
