Perhaps you, just as I, have seen the image floating around the internet of the mummified face of a nun. The caption reads, “Josephine Rosenthal’s head. The mummified head of the first nun ever recorded to be possessed.” If you’re anything like me, you searched the internet to learn more about this possessed nun, only to find story after story about Mary Rosenthal, or Sister Mary Crociffissa. As it would turn out, the mummified face belongs Mary Rosenthal, Josephine’s daughter.

Codex Gigas: The Devil’s Bible

The Codex Gigas is the largest surviving medieval illuminated manuscript in the world. At 36 inches tall, 20 inches wide, 8.7 inches thick, and weighing in at 165 pounds, the manuscript is most commonly known as The Devil’s Bible, thanks to its full-size portrait of the Devil. While portraits of the Devil were common during medieval times, this one is unique as he is portrayed alone on the page, and standing at approximately 19.5 inches tall. He is naked apart from an ermine loincloth, crouching and leaning forward. As Ermine is worn as a sign of royalty, it is believed that the Devil wears this to demonstrate that he is the Prince of Darkness.

Heaven’s Gate Cult

On the evening of March 19, 1997, thirty-eight members plus the leader of Heaven’s Gate took phenobarbital mixed with applesauce, then washed it down with vodka. They secured plastic bags around their heads to induce asphyxiation before lying down on their bunks and covering their faces and torsos with a square purple cloth. Their decomposing bodies were discovered on March 26, 1997.

Revelation 12 and the Tribulation

Revelation 12

On September 23, 2017, a very rare astrological event will occur, one that only happens every 7,000 years. The sun will be in the constellation, Virgo along with the moon near Virgo’s feet. Jupiter, too, will be in Virgo while the planets Venus, Mars, and Mercury will be above and to the right of Virgo in the constellation Leo. This astronomical alignment will occur directly over Jerusalem.
