Your pregnant wife returns home from a business trip in the early hours of the morning. You’re happy to see her, your daughters are happy she’s home, and when you leave to go to work, everything is as it should be. That is until you get a call, your wife never showed up for an appointment, and isn’t answering the door. She’s gone, and so are your daughters. This was a reality for Colorado resident, Chris Watts on August 12, 2018 .

Petscop and the Rebirthing of Candace Newmaker

“I can’t do it, I can’t do it,” she says. “I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe.” Candace Newmaker cries out during a rebirthing session. A minute later she says she’s going to die, continuing to beg for air. The adults reposition themselves, pushing harder. “Please, please stop pushing, I can’t breathe.” The pressure doesn’t stop, though. “OK, I’m dying. I’m sorry,” she says.

“You want to die? OK, then die. Go ahead, die right now,” the doctors yell back at her.

The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel

Anneliese Michel was born Anna Elisabeth Michel on September 21, 1952 in Leiblfing, Bavaria, West Germany. Her family were devout traditional Roman Catholics, and attended Mass twice a week. Growing up, Anneliese expressed the desire to become a teacher, and teach the principles of the catholic religion.

Anneliese had not been the most healthy of children. Before the age of 5 she had suffered mumps, measles, and scarlet fever. She was considered a fragile child, and so did not start school at the same time as other children her age, instead remaining home one extra year until she was stronger.

Folie à deux: Ursula and Sabina Eriksson

Folie à deux; French: [fɔli a dø]; French for “madness of two,”, or shared psychosis, is a psychiatric syndrome in which symptoms of a delusional belief and sometimes hallucinations are transmitted from one individual to another. In the case of Ursula and Sabina Eriksson, Swedish twins, Folie à deux resulted in reckless behavior and homicide.
