Joshua Komisarjevsky: The Cheshire Murders

Joshua Komisarjevsky, known for his part in the Cheshire Murders, was born on August 10, 1980 to a mother who was just 16 years old, and his father, a boy just barely out of his teens. When he was only 2 weeks old, he was adopted by Benedict and Jude Komisarjevsky, a powerful and prestigious family. Ben and Jude had a background in child care, once working as houseparents at a residential center for developmentally disabled children.

The Connecticut Cheshire Murders

Grocery shopping is such a mundane activity that all families take part in at some point, so it wasn’t a big deal when 11 year old Michaela and her mom went grocery shopping, picking up dinner for their Sunday night dinner. Little did they know, they had caught the eye of a convicted felon, out on parole. Who Killed The Black Dahlia?

On the morning of January 15, 1947, the body of Elizabeth Short, known primarily as the black dahlia, was found in a vacant lot on the west side of South Norton Avenue, midway between Coliseum Street and West 39th Street in Leimert Park, Los Angeles. She was naked, her body severed into two pieces and drained of blood. To this day, her murder remains unsolved.
